Status pages

A status page is the public face of one workspace. It is not a second product. It reads the same monitors and incidents you already run in the console.

What the page shows

  • Overall posture — operational, degraded, or down
  • Each monitor, with a short history
  • Open incidents and scheduled maintenance

Keep names and descriptions in customer language. “Checkout API” is better than an internal hostname.

The first URL

Every workspace starts on a platform subdomain:

your-workspace.argustatus.com

Use that while you set up monitors. Attach a branded domain later. The page content does not change when the hostname does.

Incidents

Open an incident from the console when a check fails or you need to say something before customers ask. Updates on the incident appear on the same page. Close it when the service is back, so the page returns to a clean state.
